Makerspace Workshops

Learn the tools, get signed off, and start making on your own.

Skills to bring your ideas to life

The Middlebury Engineering Society partners with the Makerspace to host hands-on workshops. We've trained students on the vinyl cutter, laser cutter, and 3D printers, helping them make everything from custom stickers and keychains to bottle openers.

You don't need an engineering background. Our workshops welcome students from all majors and experience levels. Once trained, you can use the Makerspace machines on your own.

Makerspace guidelines

We work closely with the Makerspace team so everyone can create safely and responsibly:

  • Complete the Makerspace Pledge before your first workshop.
  • Respect the space: return tools and materials to their proper place.
  • Follow the official training created by the Makerspace director for each machine. Our workshops guide you through it.

Once you've been trained and signed off, you're free to use the machines on your own.
